At Colorado Springs Veterinary Surgery and Rehab Center, we offer medical acupuncture as part of our multi-modal approach to high-quality personalized healthcare for your pet. In addition to our laser therapy services, we use acupuncture to help increase blood circulation, reduce pain and inflammation, and stimulate natural healing.

At Colorado Springs Veterinary Surgery and Rehab Center, our doctors offer a variety of innovative veterinary treatments to help pets experiencing pain or functional problems from degenerative and age-related diseases, joint mobility issues, and/or post-surgical trauma. We practice a multi-modal approach that combines therapeutic and rehabilitative techniques including physical therapy, acupuncture, and laser therapy to help reduce pain, stimulate healing, rebuild strength, and encourage functional motor patterns.

Manual therapy is designed to assist your pet’s own repair and adaptation processes, which, if ignored, naturally tend toward dysfunctional adaptations. For example, CCL tears are a common knee injury in dogs and they naturally compensate for this injury by changing how they stand, walk, and run. If not treated early, these adaptations eventually lead to muscle wasting and dysfunctional motor control of the knee. Physical therapy is designed to redirect these kinds of defective motor patterns and make them functional again.

At Colorado Springs Veterinary Surgery and Rehab Center, we teach you and your pet exercises designed to support and extend the benefits of the rehabilitation therapy. We offer a range of physical therapy workouts that help condition your pet’s muscles, improve balance and mobility, and enhance overall healing and recovery.
